Purpose of Services
BF Wellness Bilingual Counseling provides mental health counseling, wellness coaching, psychoeducation, personal development support, and related professional services. Services are designed to help clients improve emotional well-being, develop coping skills, increase resilience, and work toward personal goals.
Scope of Services
Services may include: individual counseling, mental health support, wellness coaching, stress management, personal growth and development, goal setting and accountability, psychoeducation, and mindset and resilience-building strategies.
Services do not include emergency mental health care, crisis intervention, medical treatment, legal advice, psychiatric services, or court-ordered evaluations unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Professional Credentials
Bianca Furse, M.A., NBCC is a National Board Certified Counselor and provides services in accordance with applicable professional ethics, standards of practice, and governing laws.
Confidentiality
All client information, communications, records, and session content will remain confidential and will not be disclosed without written permission except where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Exceptions include: threats of self-harm or suicide; threats to harm another person; suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult; court orders or legal requirements; and situations where disclosure is necessary to prevent serious and foreseeable harm.
If a client verbally states an intention to harm themselves or another person, BF Wellness Bilingual Counseling has a legal and ethical duty to take appropriate action, including notifying emergency contacts, emergency services, law enforcement, medical providers, or other appropriate authorities.
Emergencies
BF Wellness Bilingual Counseling is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, thoughts of harming others, or any emergency, call 911, contact 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
Telehealth Consent
Services may be provided through secure video conferencing or telehealth platforms. You acknowledge that technology interruptions may occur, that you are responsible for attending sessions in a private and secure location whenever possible, that telehealth services may involve risks related to technology and privacy, and that you may withdraw consent for telehealth services at any time.
Appointments and Cancellations
Clients must provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. Repeated missed appointments or late cancellations may result in termination of services.
Payment and Fees
Payment is due at or before the time services are rendered unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Any applicable fees, packages, rates, or cancellation fees will be disclosed before services begin. Outstanding balances must be resolved before future services may be provided.
Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide accurate and complete information, participate honestly and respectfully, communicate scheduling changes promptly, take responsibility for personal decisions and actions, and notify the provider of any significant changes affecting treatment.
Communication Policy
Email, text messaging, and voicemail are intended primarily for scheduling and administrative purposes. Messages are not monitored 24/7. Do not use these channels for emergencies or urgent mental health concerns. Every effort will be made to respond within 1–2 business days.
No Guarantee of Results
While every effort will be made to support client growth, healing, and well-being, counseling outcomes vary and no specific results can be guaranteed.
Client Rights
Clients have the right to ask questions, participate in treatment planning, request referrals, decline recommendations, terminate services at any time, and be treated with dignity, respect, and professionalism.
Records and Documentation
Clinical records will be maintained in accordance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and professional requirements. Requests for records must be submitted in writing and may be subject to applicable fees and legal limitations.
Termination of Services
Either party may terminate services at any time. BF Wellness Bilingual Counseling reserves the right to discontinue services if the therapeutic relationship is no longer clinically appropriate, policies are repeatedly violated, fees remain unpaid, services requested fall outside the provider's scope of practice, or referral to another provider is deemed necessary.
Electronic Communications
Clients acknowledge that electronic communications may not be completely secure despite reasonable safeguards. By choosing to communicate electronically, clients accept these risks.
